How to play GeoSize

Two countries appear side by side, both drawn at the same size. Resize the orange one until it is as big as it really is next to the blue one. Maps lie about this: Greenland looks like Africa but is fourteen times smaller, so trust the numbers rather than the atlas you grew up with.

Each round is worth up to 100 points and scoring is logarithmic, because country areas span a forty-million-fold range. Being within a factor of two still earns 60 points, so a sensible estimate is rewarded even when it is not exact.

Silhouettes are drawn in an equal-area projection, which means the space a country takes on screen matches the space it takes on Earth. Continental editions draw on a smaller pool of countries and run four rounds instead of five.
